Jennifer Velazquez was born and raised in Chicago , Illinois.Her hobbies are reading, writing, and running. Music is one of her interest, and her favorite band is Avenged Sevenfold. She loves to be on instagram and facebook a lot. Her dad got deported during her senior year. She was a student representative. She never was a straight- A student but the things she got involved in helped her a lot. She wants to be an English teacher.
Jennifer believes that you should take your time in applying to colleges, and to not rush yourself. She also thinks that if you're going to college to always think long term. Jennifer also thinks that students have a say in stuff and that CPS does not take students seriously.
Jennifer Velazquez works at Logan Square Neighborhood Association, also called LSNA. She helps kids who have it ruff and don't have social security number.
She said, “Batman is a symbol telling us that we don't need powers to save our city.” In her opinion, a hero is a person that helps without asking nothing in return. The people she would change the world for are students, especially the students who have it ruff.
