Libby Frank
Ms. Frank was an awesome interviewee. She was smart and she knew what she was talking about. Her job is to help people who were discharged from the military to find new employment.
She is from Indiana and moved to Chicago to live and work. She also has two older children.
Ms. Frank thinks that she helps the community with her job because the people she works with can also make a change in the world and help the future for the better.
She thinks that the education system doesn’t work right and it isn’t fair. She believes that we need to change it and she said, “if she was mayor of Chicago she would close down all of the charter schools and bring all of the money to public schools because public schools are no different than charter schools.”
She mentioned that the violence is the main thing that's messing up our city and we need to change it. She said, “This generation is out of control because there is no leadership no authority, no power, and mainly no control.” She found it really hard to define heroes, but she still knows that there are heroes out there in the world that can make a change.
When asked about how she views herself she said, “I don’t consider myself a hero.” That still doesn’t mean she cannot change the community or help people out it’s just what she thinks about herself.
