Jarrett Diamond

Jarrett Diamond

Mr.Diamond...A man of encouragement, integrity, and relation, was born in the East side of the windy city, 95th and Jeffery. A predominately black neighborhood. On the outer skirts of his neighborhood were Hispanics which allowed him to embrace the knowing of other cultures. Being that he comes from a large family, he spent a fair amount of his life on the road, traveling back, and forth, visiting his grandmothers in both Michigan and Memphis.listening to music, hanging out, and thinking...is what prefers to do on his free time for fun.
Mr.Diamond believes that education is the one of the most important ways out. “You’re going to work hard two times in your life...when you’re young! for what you want when you’re older, or you can work just as hard when you’re older...just to get by,” is what he says.According to Mr.Diamond,Working hard, and knowing how to play the game, and work ethic are three of the  most important “rules” to being successful in the field of education.
Taking part in the City Year educational program,Mr.Diamond helps CPS students better
their classroom status.Work that Mr.Diamond does helps our community in many ways. But, most important, like i stated before, his work helps our community by constructing a new generation of thinkers, and future millionaires. Another example of how Mr.Diamond’s work helps better our community is by allowing those of the younger generation to express their feelings and, cope with one another.
Modern day influences in general,is what Mr.Diamond believes is the problem in any community. From the songs, to the movies that are watched by children Nationwide. Children or young teens learn from what they see, and even though wishing of those nice cars,or houses is cool, they forget the big picture;none of that's possible without an education.

“A hero is a person who wouldn't think twice about putting themselves in harms way for another’s life”This is what’s believed by Mr.Diamond. He also believes that a heroes characteristics consist of honesty, selflessness, and positivity. Mr.Diamond said something that really hit home.he said “ I wouldn’t think twice about saving a life in kp.I would think twice about not! saving one” Without knowing it, Mr.Diamond has influenced many kids and is a true hero, due to his work for students and his life saving lessons.
