Jarrett Diamond

Mr.Diamond

Mr.Diamond was Born and Raised in the east side of Chicago, he lived in a predominantly black neighborhood and lived half mile away from the Hispanic neighborhood. His family is close and is the oldest of all his brothers, He also likes spending time with his family. Mr. Diamond grew up with different types of cultures. He spent some of his time traveling to Memphis and Michigan. Mr.Diamond is interested in many things like music, singing, and spends most of his time thinking how can he make himself a better person. His hobby is playing basketball, it helps him get away sometimes of a stressful day.
Mr.Diamond view on Education is that Education should be a global thing because everyone needs education in their life to be successful. Mr. Diamond said ”Education is like a roller coaster because you do a little bit of everything(ex.get into fights, party, etc.).” He also states “college is where you find your self. you find out things you didn't even know about yourself .and you find out how good your parents raised you.“
Mr.Diamond works in city year to change student point
of view about school. He quotes “Everyone has personal challenges ...just try to get better at it, don’t settle yourself for not knowing how to do something, I want to learn how to do it, Even if I got  to watch you 100 times I’ll get it eventually.”  Achieving our goals  helps us make our community better because the neighborhood that we live in the people aren't just to accomplishing anything so if you set little goals for yourself it could change you today.
Mr.Diamond say theirs a low percentage of graduates student ,but a high percentage of dropouts he wants to change that, He wants to encourage other students to come to school. Many students drop out , join gangs and create a high crisis of gang violence.
A Hero is someone who does something brave for someone else or you put yourself in danger to save somebody, someone who wouldn't think about it twice. He never had someone to look up too, never had a mentor to tell him from right and wrong, bad choices are killing us slowly, bad habits transition from school to work. A hero is being brave for the right reasons someone that is a positive figure. He looked up to his dad he was pretty cool to him. p. diddy is also someone he looks up too because he speaks his own mind.
